Last month I shot a quick recap music video for Yelp’s 12 Day’s of Yelpiness holiday party. Lots of cool venders and awesome food. It felt good to leave the editing cavern for a day Glad I could help out. Thanks to Johnny Todd and the rest of the Yelp family for having me.

Happy New Year! Man 2011 was a great year. I’m wrapping up editing on the late summer weddings from 2011 so expect more posts soon!.
I shot this cinematic wedding with 3 total shooters and a plethora of cameras in Valparaiso, Indiana. Having that extra set of eyes on the viewfinder gave me time to get some sweet creative shots. I also was lucky enough to steal the couple for an extra day of shooting before their nuptials. This whole project was a ton of work but I had a blast and couldn’t be prouder of the results. Enjoy!
Hello out there! Greetings from the editing cavern. I’m in the process of updating my blog to fit with my new site. Email me if you want to see an example of something in particular! email@example.com
I always encourage couples to do a First Look. The controlled spontaneity of the moment is easier to capture outside of a long church aisle. Here’s a fun first look we shot at Cantigny in Wheaton, IL.
Special thanks to the photographers, Gina & Tony for helping orchestrate this moment. Hand-held camera by Thane
I just finished copying last night’s wedding onto my backup drives. Total size 188.3 Gigabytes. I believe my first computer had a 100 Megabyte hard drive. Yikes…
I’d like to publicly welcome Thane to the Hendzel Productions fold. Thane has been helping me extensively as my second shooter/navigator/tech guru. I’m editing so much great footage right now and there’s a lot of exciting stuff in the works so stay tuned. For now enjoy a picture of Thane and I rocking out in our inflatable band. Fear not, we will leave the shades at home(unless you request otherwise).
Here’s a quick taste of a 30min documentary I’m working on. This has been a fun one to edit.
